Bring the cycles back to Earth
they want to be
celebrated
seen
appreciated
and most of all
lived

Seed to sprout
sprout to fruit
harvest to food
decay
nothingness
emptiness
rest

The menstrual cycle has been ignored
for too long

Centuries of patriarchal oppression
medication
suppression
taboo
shame
religion
churches
governments
determining cyclical bodies

When you understand the power of the cycle
it is easy to understand
why you would want to suppress it
suppress a woman’s cycle
and supress her
keep her obedient
a follower
of your work rhythms
more profitable
less in tune with her body
less boundaries

more of a listener to the rhythm of your factory
than to the Earth’s ways

Keep a woman in check
make her work for you
until exhaustion
use her breastmilk to
feed your own babies
of another species
fertilize her
make profit of her body
lock her up
ignore her cries
breed her
produce more like her
simply produce more bodies
that can work for you

Create factories of bodies
the ultimate victory
of patriarchal oppression
normalized
legalized
culturalized
subsidized
executed with pride

Bring the cycles back to Earth
bring
body awareness
a consent based culture
and respect for the cycles of life
back to Earth

Bring it all back

Our reproductive systems
are not to be abused

Pray
dance
sing
vote with your heart
Bodies are being abused
severely
we need to become conscious
of the crime

Our sisters are in deep despair
do not be a bystander
do not follow consumption standards
they are wrong

Follow your heart’s call
the deep longing for communion
with the feminine
starts by respecting her
her body
her being
her wisdom

Bring the cycles back to Earth
and you will see
why
